Circle of Friends Humane Society to Host 13th Annual “Raise Your Paws For Pets”    Dinner & Auction

The Circle of Friends Humane Society will be hosting the 13th annual “Raise Your Paws For Pets Dinner & Auction Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Alerus Center – Junior Ballroom.. Raise Your Paws will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction. A silent auction will run throughout the evening.

Raise Your Paws combines the Humane Society’s annual dinner/auction with our celebrity cake auction.

This year Copcakes for K-9s will feature cakes from local law enforcement agencies. Again this year we’l play Heads or Tails to win great prizes in addition to the wonderful raffle items we have each year. Our goal is to surpass last year’s total of $27,000.

“We are indeed grateful to the community for their continuing support and recognition of our services over the years,” said Arlette Moen, executive director of the Circle of Friends Humane Society. “This event offers great food, incredible auction items and, best of all, the funds raised go directly to the care and well-being of the animals!”

Registration for the event is $50 per person and can be completed at the Humane Society. Or register online at www.gfpets.com or call 701-775-3732. Connect with us on our facebook page to see some of the auction items. All proceeds from the event go toward the care of homeless pets at the Circle of Friends Humane Society.

A private, nonprofit animal care organization, the Circle of Friends Humane Society shelters and cares for homeless and unwanted animals, places them into humane environments, and implements programs designed to increase everyone’s awareness of their responsibility to all animals. The Humane Society accepts all stray animals and receives 1700 or more pets of all kinds each year at an average of 20-30 per week. Located at 4375 N. Washington St., the facility is open to the public from noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
