Yesterday was the perfect day for Penumbra to be with us on WDAZ News @5, what with the threat of inclement weather and all. The group performed their new tune “Snow Blowin’ Blues” for us. It’s a song about winter weather set to a much warmer beat.
Steve Rand and Jeff Anvinson wrote the song over the course of several years. They have just now recorded it (in a more extended version with more instrumentation than their television version) and released it as a single. You can pick up your copy in Grand Forks at Hugo’s, UND Bookstore, Scott’s Music, Skip’s Budget Drug or Orioso Music Academy. It would make a great Valentine gift, possibly for someone who shovels your driveway, or for the Snowbird on your list.
