All 4 Fun Dog Festival

From The Circle of Friends Humane Society:

The Circle of Friends Humane Society presents its Fourth Annual All 4 Fun Dog Festival on Sunday, October 14, 2012, noon to 3 pm, in conjunction with a new online fundraiser, Five In Five. The Festival includes demonstrations from the GF Kennel Club, law enforcement K-9 unit, doggy games, contests, Second Chance Alumni Reunion, a raffle basket, food and lots of fun for dogs and owners alike.

The Five In Five fundraiser hopes to raise $5,000 in five days for the ongoing medical care of pets at the Circle of Friends Humane Society. Beginning Wednesday, October 9 running through Saturday, October 13 donors are asked to donate online at gfpets.com. Bo, Dale, and Zephyr underwent surgeries for an ACL injury, an amputation and a broken leg. Pictures of these pets are on our website. These and other great pets require medical care throughout the year. Results of the fundraiser will be announced at All 4 Fun on October 14.

The doggy games at All 4 Fun will test dogs’ abilities in several very important skills: musical sit/stay, doggy dash, obedience baseball, doggy bowling, peanut butter lick, obstacle course and ball toss (games subject to change).

For dogs whose abilities lie in areas other than physical activity, there are the contests for best costume, best trick, cutest, most disobedient, sing-off, best tail wagger and Who’s Your Daddy?  Contests will be judged by local celebrities Grand Forks Herald columnist, Ryan Bakken, and WDAZ-TV News Anchor, Terry Dullum.

The Second Chance Alumni Reunion will recognize dogs adopted from the Circle of Friends Humane Society and the very special caregivers who gave them that second chance.

And last but certainly not least, the Manvel Fire Department will be grilling food for the event with the proceeds going to the Manvel Fire Department. Check out our doggy raffle basket too.

All events are free, open to the public and will be held at the Circle of Friends public dog park at 4375 N Washington. Donations are sincerely appreciated and will be accepted to assist the Circle of Friends Humane Society in their mission to shelter lost, unwanted pets. Dogs must be leashed except when participating in games.
