Clearing out a reporter’s notebook:
* I’m pretty sure actress Leslie Bibb wants me. We talked yesterday (by satellite, sadly.) She was born in Bismarck, but her parents left when she was still very young. Before the interview she told me she would like to see Bismarck. Having worked there for a couple of years, I offered to show her around. She seems very sweet and full of life. She stars in the new ABC comedy GCB Sunday night at 9 pm.
* Talked with buddy Bob Zany on the phone. If I understand him correctly (and I don’t always), he’s bringing a magician and a Las Vegas showgirl with him to Grand Forks later this month. The showgirl I understand, but what’s with the magician? He’ll be with us on WDAZ News @5 Thursday, March 23. He’ll be appearing at the Muddy Rivers Ballroom of the Guesthouse Inn in Grand Forks March 23 – 25. If you have never seen him before, you are in for a treat.
* Looking forward to talking with Anthony Field next week on News @5. He’s the founder of The Wiggles, the wildly popular children’s act from Australia. In the meantime, I’m reading his new book How I Got My Wiggle Back: A Memoir of Healing. He has a very interesting story to tell. We met (along with rest of The Wiggles) a few months ago when the group performed at the Ralph in Grand Forks. They were nice enough to do a live interview with us @5 complete with a version of “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport.”
