Biker Saturday

Had a great time at the Red River Valley Motorcyclists Motorcycle Show Saturday with my new biker friends at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.  The people were nice and the show itself was amazing.  Great bikes, beautiful displays.  (Some of the bikes had better lighting than I do on television.)

This year’s show was dedicated to veterans.  The North Dakota Patriot Guard provided a “flag wall” as World War II and Vietnam vets particularly were recognized, prayers said and taps played.  Very moving.

Lots of laughs, too.  Rick Clow gave me a brief, personal history of the leather jacket he lent me to be photographed in.  That history includes something like twenty-six trips to Sturgis.  There’s also evidence on the jacket of a mishap or two and at least one little “schuffle.”

Thanks to the cycle club for inviting me.  I had a blast!
