Thanksgiving may be one of our most comtemplative holidays–if we do it right.  For the past couple of years, my list of things for which I am grateful has been taking up space here.  In no particular order, here they are:

SpotBot,, gin & vermouth, local bookstores, family & friends, Whitey’s, iPods, gifted directors, Todd Hanson and Grand Forks Mosquito Control, the Great American Songbook, Hugo’s potato salad, tech support, Larry McMurtry, newspapers, Orville Redenbacher’s, Sirius, good promotion, Craig Ferguson, wonderful neighbors, Netflix, world-class surgeons, terrific colleagues, the Greatest Generation, Frank Sinatra,, my home sound system, talented photographers,, GPS, Charles Dickens, Circle of Friends Humane Society, Peggy Lee, the Empire, Fritz & Alerus, loyal viewers, reasonably-priced auto mechanics, sympathetic management, decent lighting, GGFSO, Rhombus Guys Pizza, Talent Productions, Mark Train, my gym,, Tony Bennett, nurses, Reggae music, terrific associate producers and, of course, Ginny.
