Mr. Whipple

The Associated Press reports that character actor Dick Wilson died today at the age of 91 of natural causes at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Hospital in California. He was at least as well known as Mr. Whipple who begged customers "Please, don’t squeeze the
Charmin."

Wilson made more than 500 commercials as George
Whipple beginning in 1964. One of television’s most famous advertising campaigns, it ended in 1985.
