Burton Cummings

This week on television we’re going to be talking with singer-songwriter Burton Cummings, the voice of Canada’s Guess Who.  The occasion is the 100th anniversary of Winnipeg’s Burton Cummings Theatre. 

Once the Walker Theatre, Cummings has lent his name and his talent to the venue to help preserve and restore the century-old theatre physically and financially, one of the oldest in Canada. 

On Saturday night, Cummings will be joined by Randy Bachman, also of the Guess Who, and a number of other musicians and entertainers in a 100th Anniversary concert at the theatre.  Friday we’ll tell you more about it on television.
