Stephanie in the Rain

An interesting article in the Los Angeles Times the other day about how Minnesota native Stephanie Edwards has been kicked around at KTLA television in LaLaWood.

For more than 25 years, she co-hosted that station’s coverage of the annual Rose Bowl Parade next to Bob Eubanks.  Then last year, she lost that position to a younger woman.  (Stephanie is 63.)  Does any of this sound familier?

Poor Steph was relegated to interviewing parade-watchers–in the rain!  Viewers rebelled.  Controversy ensued.

Still this Monday she’ll be dry and cozy, watching the parade at home in Minnesota with family.

Well, good for her. She needs some time being around some Minnesota Nice, anyways.
I think its a shame she got bumped and the fossilized Eubanks stays on. And it is hard to see that it is anything but ageism from here….

She may be 63, but I think she’s still hot!
