Thanks to the Outreach Committee of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Grand Forks for hosting last night’s Herald-WDAZ "victory" party. Who better to try to reach out to than journalists?
You’d have to be in a coma in Grand Forks not to recall that the Herald challenged WDAZ to a Salvation Army bell-ringing contest. Long story short, both sides attempted to claim victory.
St. Paul’s stepped in, declaring both "winners" and hosting a hot chocolate party the losing side had promised to throw for the winners. It allowed both teams to save a little face. And it was a very "Christian-like" solution. Also, it was a lot of fun.
