Weird Minnesota

This week on television we’re going to be taking a look at a new book called "Weird Minnesota:  Your Travel Guide to Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets" by Eric and Michael Dregni and how the authors could have made it weirder.  (We’re always trying to be helpful.)

The book focuses on some of Minneosta’s usual roadside attractions like Bemidji’s statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox as pictured on the book cover.  We think they could have done better.

Please tell me there’s at least a four-page spread dedicated to the SPAM museum in Austin, MN.

Chanda… I don’t have the book in front of me, but it would be an huge oversight if the SPAM Museum is not included. SPAM merchandise is wonderful. (I have a SPAM t-shirt.) There’s also a SPAMMOBILE (www.spammobile.com) these days.
