Paw Walk

The Circle of Friends Humane Society’s Walk Your Paws event was a big success at Lincoln Drive Park in Grand Forks Saturday, aided in no small part by a beautiful fall day.  The turnout of animals and their companions was very impressive.

Helping judge the Pet Parade was a hoot.  After careful considerable we determined that in their matching rain gear Duke and Prairie deserved the Best Costume award, Nancy Joiner and Matty looked most alike and that Kaiger and Jade did the best tricks.

The toughest catagory to judge by far was Cutest.  (All pets are cute.)  We determined that Bandit (a Hillsboro dog, as it turns out) and Riley who was adopted from the Circle of Friends should share the award.

I’ll be proudly wearing my new Walk Your Paws t-shirt for a long time to come.
