Last Ride

Thanks to the security guys at the Seven Clans Casino for helping get the top up on my car after the Last Ride Blues Festival Saturday night.  (It’s a long story.)  Some people shouldn’t be allowed to drive.  I’ve always said, if you get intro trouble, find at casino security guy–or three to help you.  I’ve always depended on the kindness of strangers.

The show was tremendous.  The Fabulous Thunderbirds lived up to their name.  They always, do I’ll bet.  And at 78, Bo Diddley is a living legend.  He told his audience he’s been in rock ‘n roll for 51 years.

The casino management may not like to hear it, but the live outdoor entertainment they sponsor each summer is one of the best kept secrets in the area.  Over the years, we seen such diverse, name entertainers as Buddy Guy, Johnny Rivers, the Kentucky Headhunters and Kitty Wells–all free.
